The interest of foreigners in real estate in Portugal has led to sharp rises in prices. Central bank sees signs still "limited" of overvaluation, but alert for risks of possible correction.

In the third quarter of 2017, house prices increased by 10.4% year-on-year, with 38 783 households being traded - 23% more than in the same period of last year.

The Bank of Portugal activated the plan to prevent excess credit. Measures will only apply to new loans.
